Barry Alan Glasberg Obituary (1945 - 2010)

Barry Alan Glasberg, Leawood, KS, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at KU Med after a lengthy illness. Barry was born November 13, 1945, to Lou and Connie Glasberg in St. Joseph, MO. They moved to Kansas City when Barry was a young boy. He attended the University of Oklahoma where he met his wife of 42 years, Bunni Maslansky. For more than 25 years, Barry owned Twentieth Century Travel. He, Bunni, and their daughter, Melisa, traveled all over the world. He was fascinated by the history of every city they visited and enjoyed exploring new destinations. Barry was surrounded by loyal and longtime friends that were constantly amazed at his spirit and strong will. Always thinking of others throughout his 16-year illness, Barry's positive outlook enriched the lives of everyone around him. He was able to travel to Oregon for Melisa and Joe's wedding, and he felt an extraordinary amount of joy knowing his first grandchild is on his way. Barry is survived by his wife, Bunni; daughter, Melisa and her husband, Joe. To help further understand Barry's undiagnosed disease, his body is being donated to the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.
