Milton B. Ozar, MD, a resident of Delray Florida formerly of Kansas City, Missouri died December 3, 2019 at the age of 95. Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm Thursday, December 5, 2019 at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Mo 64131. Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Dr. Ozar was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1924. He was a graduate of Paseo High School, Kansas City, Missouri, UMKC BS in Pharmacy, and the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1949. He was a partner at Urology Center of Kansas City until his retirement. During this time, he was president of the Jackson County Medical Society, President of the Kansas City Urological Society, President of Baptist Medical Center, Missouri Representative, Board of South Central AUA, Section, AUA Counselor, 7th District, Missouri State Medical Association, and President of South Central American Urological Association. He held clinical professorships at both the University of Kansas and University of Missouri at Kansas City Medical Schools. In addition, he was a member of the Admissions Committee, UMKC Medical School, Member of Judicial Board 16th Circuit Court, KC Urological Society. He also served as Captain in the U.S. Air Force for 2 years. Dr. Ozar was well known in Kansas City for his expert and attentive patient care, using his mind, heart and skilled hands to heal. He was honest and humble and treated all with respect. He was loved by his family, friends, and all who met him and benefitted from his medical advice, encouragement, or determination to fix anything that was broken. He used his talented hands to create art, in his later years, designing and creating jewelry, and kepot for women from wire and beads. Most importantly, for 72 years, he teamed with Marilyn in a remarkable marriage that provided a constant base of emotional support and strength to so many family members and friends. He delighted in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Bringing family members together was his greatest joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon Jacob and Sadie (Friedman), Auntie (Sarah) Ozar, and his sister Dorothea Jagoda. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marilyn Brand, sister Edith Bratt, and brother I.I Ozar (Lesly) and by his son Dr. Stuart Ozar and his wife Dr. Betty Sonnenwirth Ozar, St. Louis Missouri; daughter Judith Henry, Miami, Florida, daughter Donna Goldfarb and her husband Bob, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
