Harry Daniels Obituary (2007) - Overland Park, Kansas

Harry Daniels, 83, of Overland Park, died June 13, 2007, at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care Center, due to complications from an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, with burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family requests no flowers and suggests that contributions be made to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145, Congregation Beth Shalom or a charity of one’s choice. Mr. Daniels was born to the late Sam and Esther Daniels. He was raised in Kansas City and worked at Kap-Pel Fabrics for 52 years as a salesman, including 45 years as a co-owner, vice president and president before retiring in 2000. He was a lifelong member of Congregation Beth Shalom and its Men’s Club and a Life Board Member. Mr. Daniels was also a member of the Jewish Community Center and a Charter Member of Meadowbrook Country Club. He graduated from Central High School and in his youth was a member of the Rattler’s Club. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anita Daniels, his son Richard Daniels of New York City, his son and daughter-in-law Robert and Cindy Daniels of Overland Park, his grandchildren Jeffrey Daniels and Marla Daniels, his brother and sister-in-law Sol and Mollie Daniels, his sister Diane Jaben, his brother-in-law Maynard Rosenbloom, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Zurovsky.
