W.L. "Bill" Tigerman Obituary (1910

W.L. “Bill” Tigerman, 99 1/2, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at Village Shalom. Graveside services will be 11:00am Thursday, May 13, at Rose Hill Cemetery, 6900 Troost Avenue. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to Village Shalom, 5500 W. 123rd St., Overland Park, KS 66209. Bill Tigerman was born in Kansas City, MO and spent his life here. The son of Harry Tigerman and Rebecca Kemp Tigerman, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Florence Frances Tigerman and by his siblings, Joe and Milton Tigerman and Berniece Sessel. He spent his work life in the wholesale grocery business working for family members and friends, Herman Hershman, Louis Barash and Alec Rose. Known for his independence and good humor, he is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: H. Lawrence “Larry” Tigerman and Charles Tigerman and wife Carolyn McWilliams; grandchildren: Bobbye Tigerman and husband Michael Eisenstein, and Reg Tigerman. In later years, Bill and Flo enjoyed trips to the casino, where they experienced mixed results.
